Crystal LUPA

Born in California in 1989, LUPA earned her fashion design degree from Central Saint Martins in 2012. Now based in Taipei, her practice spans painting, sculpture, fashion, and music. Her visual language consistently evokes Eastern mysticism and fantasy literature, creating surreal spaces filled with symbolic forms.

LUPA transforms dreams and life experiences into stage-like compositions, exploring archetypal figures and the collective unconscious. Through these immersive, atmosphere-driven works, she investigates the inner self and the psychological shadows within a social context, inviting a deep interaction between the viewer and the motif.

1989년 캘리포니아에서 태어난 루파(LUPA)는 2012년 런던 세인트 마틴(CSM)에서 패션 디자인을 전공했습니다. 현재 타이베이를 기반으로 활동하며 회화, 조각, 패션, 음악 등 다양한 분야를 아우릅니다. 그녀의 시각 언어는 동양의 신비주의와 판타지 문학을 연상시키며, 상징적인 형태들로 가득 찬 초현실적인 공간을 구축합니다.

루파는 꿈과 현실의 경험을 연극 무대와 같은 구도로 재구성하여 원형적 인물과 집단 무의식을 탐구합니다. 몰입감을 주는 몽환적인 작품 세계를 통해, 작가는 사회적 맥락 속의 내면적 자아와 심리적 그림자를 시각화하며 관람객과 작품 사이의 깊은 상호작용을 이끌어냅니다.
