Light is both a presence and an illusion, shaping the way we perceive landscapes, atmospheres, and the passage of time. The Glow of Life brings together the work of Lee Jeonglok, Timothy Spall, Jarek Puzcel, and Tõnis Saadoja—four artists who explore the interaction between natural and artificial light across land, sea, and sky.

Lee Jeonglok’s luminous photographs, created entirely in-camera, use long exposures to capture artificial light flashed back into the lens, transforming natural settings into realms of ethereal radiance. Timothy Spall’s paintings often incorporate the glow of lights from a film set, subtly altering the composition and infusing the natural environment with an unnatural but alluring cinematic tension. Jarek Puzcel’s atmospheric scenes play with artificial illumination, casting an eerie stillness over his surreal and enigmatic tableaux. Tõnis Saadoja’s detailed, contemplative works examine the way light defines memory and space, revealing the quiet interplay of illumination and shadow.

Together, these artists explore how light—both natural and human-made—reshapes our understanding of the world. The Glow of Life invites viewers to consider the delicate balance between the organic and the constructed, the fleeting and the eternal, and the way artificial illumination redefines our experience of nature.
