Natalia Pivko is an established artist currently lives and works in Riga, Latvia. She studied painting at the Art School Nicolas Roerich in St.Petersburg and at the National Academy in St.Petersburg (State Art and Industry Academy) focusing on book design and illustration. She then worked as an illustrator and art director at Volga Volga Brand Identity as well as at Pomellodesign in St.Petersburg. Since 2012 she has been working as an independent artist. 

Pivko is inspired by Flemish painting, fashion, book illustrations, medical atlases, bones, garbage, tattoos, carpets, the Victorian era, apocalyptic theories, macabre childhood rituals, aliens, the yellow press, fabric, fading, zoological museums and all things that evoke memories.
