Born in 1983, Ken Sortais is an artist who
graduated from the École Supérieure des
Beaux-Arts in Paris. He lives and works in
Marseille.
Ken Sortais explores subversion and the
loss of identity through a versatile artistic
practice encompassing drawing, painting,
video, sculpture, and installation. Through a unique latex molding process, Sortais
questions the representation of existing
forms in public space, skillfully transitioning from reality to illusion, creating works that are both beautiful and monstrous, dignified and grotesque. Sortais has held two solo exhibitions at the gallery and has regularly exhibited his work at the Palais de Tokyo.
His work is also part of several French public collections.
