Chu Mirim utilizes pixel and grid as core visual languages to generate new methods of communication that transcend the boundaries between analog and digital. The juxtaposition of the two evokes a sense of nostalgia amidst the rapid transformations of modern society. The pixel, a foundational unit of digital imagery, serves as both a nostalgic reference to the early days of the web in the late 20th century and a reflection of the hyper-digitalized context of contemporary life. In a world shaped by data and technology, Chu’s work critically engages with the visual and structural patterns of this data-driven reality.
