SONGEUN Art and Cultural Foundation is delighted to invite you to the first edition of Spring Fever, a newly launched biennial open call program dedicated to supporting emerging artists who have held two or fewer solo exhibitions. Presented in celebration of the 5th anniversary of SONGEUN’s new space, Spring Fever carries forward the spirit and legacy of the former open call program, SongEun ArtCube (2010–2021), while opening a new chapter for the next generation of Korean contemporary artists. From an inspiring pool of 822 applicants, Jaehyun Kim, Jiho Park, and Ria Choi were selected through an extensive process of portfolio reviews and studio visits. Each artist will present a solo exhibition on a dedicated floor at SONGEUN, offering an in-depth look at their evolving practices at this pivotal moment in their careers.
We are especially proud to collaborate with the PARKSEOBO Foundation, whose generous commitment to acquiring one work by each artist offers a powerful gesture of encouragement at this early stage in their careers.

스프링 피버는 송은미술대상 제정 25주년과 송은문화재단 신사옥 개관 5주년을 기념해 기획된 작가 지원 프로그램으로, 2002-2020년까지 운영했던 송은 아트큐브 공모 형식을 가져와 신사옥에서 새롭게 선보이는 공모 프로그램이다. 개인전 개최 경력 2회 이하의 미술 작가를 대상으로 한 이번 공모에는 총 822명이 지원했으며, 포트폴리오 리뷰를 시작으로 개별 인터뷰와 스튜디오 방문 등 면밀한 심사 과정을 거쳐 최종 3인의 작가를 선발했다. 선정된 작가들에게는 송은 전시장 내 1개 층에서 개인전을 개최할 수 있는 기회가 주어진다. 재단은 기획 자문을 비롯해 작품 운송, 설치, 홍보, 인쇄물 제작 등 전시 실현을 위한 전 과정을 지원하며, 이를 통해 젊은 작가들이 안정적인 환경에서 창작 활동을 지속할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고자 한다.
