Lazy Mike
Overview
Lazy Mike is driven by a commitment to connecting aesthetic perspectives across borders and fostering free, open discourse. The gallery opened its first permanent exhibition space in 2020, and in October 2022 relocated to Riga, Latvia, strengthening its international presence and broadening its global program. In September 2024, Lazy Mike launched its first Seoul branch in Samcheongdong, followed by a move in September 2025 to an expanded gallery space in Cheongdamdong, marking a deeper and more sustained engagement with the Korean art market. Working with artists from diverse backgrounds, including Latvia, Paris, Berlin, and Ukraine, Lazy Mike curates and supports exhibitions with museums and galleries worldwide, helping each artist’s practice connect with broader audiences across cultural contexts.
레이지 마이크는 국경을 넘어 예술적 감각을 연결하고, 자유롭고 열린 담론을 지향하는 것을 핵심 가치로 삼고 있습니다. 2020년 첫 상설 전시 공간을 열었고, 2022년 10월 라트비아 리가(Riga)로 이전하며 국제 무대로 활동을 넓혔습니다. 이어 2024년 9월, 서울 삼청동에서의 첫 브랜치를 시작으로, 2025년 9월 청담동에 확장 이전하여 한국 미술 시장과의 본격적인 교류를 시작했습니다. 라트비아, 파리, 베를린, 우크라이나 등 다양한 배경을 가진 동시대 작가들과 협력하며, 세계 각지의 미술관 및 갤러리 전시를 기획·지원해 작가들의 작품 세계가 더욱 폭넓은 관객에게 닿을 수 있도록 노력하고 있습니다.
