Since its founding in 2011, Gallery Baton has gained its recognition as one of the leading contemporary art galleries by consistently presenting sophisticated programs based on an in-depth analysis of current paradigms of contemporary art. Paying close to attention to the present international art tendencies to develop Baton’s original curatorial practice and more balanced perspectives on contemporaneity, we have established a distinct identity by featuring acclaimed artists from the world. While participating in international art fairs including Art Basel and Frieze and proceeding collaborative projects with major art institutions, Gallery Baton is committed to creating a more sustainable art ecosystem that prioritises co-growth with artists, and has also co-run a non-profit space, Chapter ll, to foster the growth of emerging young artists

갤러리바톤은 2011년 개관이래 현대미술 패러다임에 대한 심층적인 분석과 이해를 통해, 수준 높은 전시 프로그램을 선보이며 대표적인 현대미술 갤러리로 자리 잡아 왔다. 국제적인 미술사적 흐름에 주목하며 발전시켜 온 바톤 고유의 신선한 시각과 동시대성에 대한 정제된 견해를 바탕으로, 역량 있는 국내외 작가들을 균형 있게 소개하며 차별화된 정체성을 확고히 해 오고 있다. 아트바젤, 프리즈 등 국제적인 아트페어에 참가하고 주요 미술기관과의 다양한 협업을 이루어오며 미술 생태계 및 작가와의 동반 성장 또한 중시한다. 바톤이 기획과 프로그램 운동 영에 공동 참여하고 있는 비영리 공간인 ‘챕터투’는 신진 작가들에게 전시 기회와 레지던시 프로그램을 제공하며 작가들의 대중과의 접점 마련과 성장을 모색한다.
